Nineteen89 – a label by Divya Bagri offers women’s apparel perfect for those who’re not fans of bling and love easy-breezy, mix and match garments.

Divya is originally from Kolkata where she’s worked with designers like Anamika Khanna and it was only after she moved to Delhi that she decided to start her own label in December 2016. Presently, the designer has her workshop in Hauz Khas, also retails through exhibitions (her label was launched at the Evoluzione & Qila exhibitions) and supplies pieces to brands like Ogaan, Ensemble, Amara, Gyans and more across the country. 

Nineteen89 offers fuss-free clothes in fabrics like bandhni that don’t need ironing and can still create a classy look. All their garments can be mix-and-matched or worn two ways, like the stoles with different patterns on either side or the sari sets with funky blouses that can be worn as crop tops too. We particularly love their hand embroidered white khaadi sari with a three-fourth blouse that looks artsy and elegant.

Another thing we like about Nineteen89 is that their collection isn’t over-the-top. They’ve got a lot of suits that are simple enough for a family lunch but with the right kind of accessories can even be worn for dressier occasions like cocktails or small functions.

Other than offering readymade suit sets, kaftans, overcoats & saris {all of which are handcrafted}, Divya can also customise outfits and accessories for you. She even does embroidered pocket squares for men, something which we haven’t seen a lot of other brands offering.
