With a motto of 'no classics. no basics', Noonoo is a Delhi-based online brand that does attention-grabbing shirts in impressive designs ranging from cartoons to animal figures and Japanese illustrations.
I got this Popeye embroidered shirt from them (I plan to never grow out of cartoons) and it's been one of my favourite pieces of clothing ever since. The shirt fits perfectly (it's a slim fit), the embroidered Popeye patch is pretty detailed and adds the right amount of pop to this otherwise plain shirt, and even the buttons are high-quality. I really like the subtle sheen that the shirt has, thanks to cotton poplin, and this makes it a good choice for dressy occasions as well. I wore it under a navy blue suit and it looked great. Remove the suit jacket and you're good to go for the after-party.
Noonoo's Kabuki Karaoke collection (especially the Hanamichi shirt) and the graffiti shirt with a screen-printed original artwork are next on my wishlist.
