The Old World Theatre Festival is being hosted at IHC's Stein Auditorium and will play host to a diverse selection of stage plays from various parts of India. While we're looking forward to Kalki Koechlin's directorial debut, there’s also Rajit Kapur’s critically acclaimed One On One-Part 2, which opens with a brilliant solo act by Anuradha Menon.

One On One—Part 2
Featuring Rajit Kapur and Anuradha Menon, this is a satire that is told through eight intriguing stories. From frustrated ticket collectors to feisty brides-to-be, One on One-2 hopes to showcase a new India and its mires of bureaucracy, marriage, the futility of war, immigration, real estate scams and Bollywood.

The Living Room

Ek Mulaqat
A play where Shekhar Suman and Deepti Naval play Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam has to be on our to-watch list. This dramatic tale of a winter evening is told through their unfulfilled love story.

Oh, My Sweet Land
Amir Nizar Juabi directs this drama where a woman of mixed Syrian-German parentage helps an exiled Damascene medical worker, Ashraf to organise the escape of fellow Syrians. The two become lovers and then Ashraf suddenly disappears, prompting the protagonist to go in search of him.

It’s Not Waht You Tihnk
{That's not a typo.} Directed by and starring in Deepal Doshi, this play is a comedy between a dependant master and his sassy servant; a cunning lady and a clumsy thief and many more. A fast-paced performance, look out for the masks that are works of art and a story unto themselves.

The God of Carnage
Find Anuradha Menon and Shernaz Patel getting into a passive aggressive argument of sorts as a result of one’s child hitting the other. Also find yourself highly amused at the way adults increasingly start behaving like children over the course of the evening.

Spaces
A drama where an artist tries to preserve her heritage and cultural identity, the place of action is an old-world haveli, rightly setting the tone for the rest of the play. The conflict arises when she tries to reach a compromise with her Chicago-based fiance. It asks the question of what ‘home’ really means.
