Plan A Pawsome Weekend Getaway To Bull's Retreat Lodge & Hotel In Rishikesh

What Makes It Awesome

If you and your pooch are looking for a break from Delhi’s noisy and polluted environment, head over to the hills with your fur baby and give him/her the much-needed break from the horrible pollution.

I was fortunate enough to spend a weekend at Bull’s Retreat in Rishikesh with 12 dogs and their humans. And trust me when I say the resort is a paradise for dogs and dog lovers. It is just about six hours from Delhi, gives your fur baby access to sprawling lawns for playtime and a comfortable place to relax in the cosy rooms. Well, it goes without saying that you must clean after your dog inside the hotel premises. After all, there are little things we need to do for the ones we love.

So while it’s daytime, you can play with your pooch in the lawns, without worrying about the pollution and noise back home. In the evening, get set to enjoy a bonfire that the hotel staff will be happy to set up for you or simply laze around in the hotel’s super cool hammock.

What Could Be Better?

On your visit to Bull’s Retreat, you should definitely ask the hotel concierge to help you with a nature walk that begins from the hotel itself. It takes you through the thick of the forest and ends in a beautiful spot overlooking the Ganges! As you walk down the nature trail with your dog, be prepared to be mesmerised with that serene view of the Ganges, which makes the long walk worth it.

You can also ask the concierge to help you take your dog for swimming in the Ganges that adds just the ideal bit of fun to your holiday, isn't it? And trust us when we say that most dogs {especially big ones} love swimming.

What's My Pro Tip?

The lush greenery and the backdrop of the Ganges both make for pawsome photo opportunities with your furry friend. Remember to make the most of it.

Anything Else?

Make sure that you don't leave your pet unattended at any point.
