    When it comes to pickles, this sister duo is seriously doing an incredible job with their lotus stem, mutton, jackfruit, prawn and pork flavoured creations.

    Brought to us from Bombay, Preetika and Prerna Chawla’s brand, Pickle Shickle has a range of delectable pickles. They’ve recently begun selling their wares at The Taste in Defence Colony Market. Turing an age old family recipe into a thriving business, these two sisters begun selling some incredible jars of mutton, chicken, prawn and pork pickle. Vegetarians, don’t despair; they also have lotus stem and jackfruit, which are equally good. We tried the pork, prawn and lotus stem and they were all flavourful, not too spicy and hit just the right notes.

    What we loved about their pickles is how much they remind us of homemade pickles made by our grandmas, serving as simple, go-to comfort food {you can literally eat these pickles with everything, not just Indian food}. Their jackfruit and lotus stem pickles costs INR 350, the prawn costs INR 500 and the pork and chicken ranges from INR 400- INR 700.
