So exciting! In this writer’s books, at least. Many trips to London have taught us that a chain pizzeria can in fact feel like very special dining, and that ‘express’ doesn’t necessarily mean fast food.
Pizza Express runs successfully all over the UK, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and the UAE among others; we’re thrilled to welcome it to NCR.
What we’ve always loved about Pizza Express {beside their fun, contemporary interiors} is that it has all the kitchen magic of a gourmet Italian restaurant, and that it manages to replicate this to perfection in every single location. The menu has its quirks but we’re quite sure that none of it is gimmicky.
We love the dough balls with their special garlic butter, any of their pizzas with fresh rocket, the Romano pizzas with a super thin base and generous toppings, their pastas and risottos and their super large salads. Okay fine, we love it all.
And we know it’s hard to please everyone, and you might wonder where this great love comes from; but the heart wants what it wants. And it wants dough balls.
