Love Puraani Dilli's Food But Not Its Crowds? Head To This Festival

What Is It?

A two-day food festival is bringing Old Delhi’s lesser-known food vendors to India Islamic Centre this weekend. It’s the result of Focus India’s collective effort to empower the youth from marginalised sections of the society. So, it’s going to satiate both, your appetite for good eating and good living. Well, hopefully.

Who Is It For?

Those who want to eat all the legendary street food without actually taking to the street.

Why Should I Go For It?

Admit it, you’ve made Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid plans with the squad and either you or someone else has always chickened out or cancelled at the last minute. It happens to even the most adventurous of us, guys.

So, when the culinary secrets of the walled city are coming to you, you’d better be up for it. Imagine a day of unbridled gluttony with prized dishes like Paneer Ki Jalebi, nahari, keema samosa, changezi chicken, chaat, parathas, sheermal, hand-churned ice cream and lots more.

Plus, it’s a chance of doing a good deed for the community. The festival will not only turn the spotlight on to these undiscovered {but hugely talented} vendors but also help towards educating the underprivileged youth associated with Focus India.
