Rajouri Garden is definitely one of the most prominent localities of West Delhi. With street food, swanky bars and cafés, terracotta stores, stores for wedding couture, and Sarojini-esque shops for cheap fashion gems, this market’s got it all. After a lot of digging and Punjabi rap in the background, we’ve got you an ultimate guide to Rajouri Garden.

LBB Tip: The nearest metro station is Rajouri Garden on the blur line, from there it is a two-minute walk to the main market.

Where To Eat:

Whether it’s the Delhi-favourite momo corner or a chaat stall dishing out pav bhaji and golgappas, the variety of food in the Rajouri Garden market knows no bounds. Here are some eateries that we absolutely love in Rajouri:

Atul Chaat

Of course, we had to start with Atul Chaat, the place is so famous that it has become an iconic landmark for the market. The small corner shop is super-packed, even on weekdays, so if you don't mind waiting in a long queue for some chatpati chaat, then this humble eatery definitely deserves to be a stop on your next visit to Rajouri. Fair warning, we'd recommend visiting on an empty stomach.

Roshan Di Kulfi

Roshan Di Kulfi from Ajmal Khan Road also has an outlet in the Rajouri Garden Market so we West Delhiites don't have to travel all the way to Central Delhi (or Karol Bagh) for a taste of their famous kulfi falooda. They also have amazing sweets (the Rasgullas are our personal favourite) as well as delicious food options like chaat, dosa, chole bhature and lots more to satisfy all your Indian food cravings. Additionally, they have ample seating and since the place is air-conditioned.

Pro-tip: Everything to do in Karol Bagh!

Juggernaut

If you want to have an authentic South Indian food experience in Rajouri Garden, then don't think twice and head to Juggernaut! The food always blows us away — be it the dosas, the uttapams, or even North Indian options like rajma chawal. Their sambhar is to die for, perfectly balanced in terms of spices and aroma; the dosas too are crisped well with no speck of oil to be seen on your plate anywhere. Also, the ambiance of the place is super nice with ample seating to accommodate around fifty people with ease.

Chawla Family Restaurant

Vegetarians might want to skip this one. Chawla's is a meat-eaters haven with typical Mughlai and North Indian food preparations packed with loads of spices and butter. The garlic chicken and green chilli paratha always hit the right cord and satisfy the best of spice cravings. The restaurant has an indoor as well as outdoor seating area that usually comes to life during dinner timings with families hogging on tasty desi food.

Fat Lulu's

With a range of fast food eateries like KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino's, McDonald's and even coffee outlets like Starbucks, Blue Tokai and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat at in Rajouri Garden. But of the lot, one place we can always head to for delicious pizza and mocktails is Fat Lulu's. Their newly opened tiny garden café is super cute and cosy with delicious piping hot Neapolitan and thin-crust style pizzas. The place is quite small but the food surely makes up for it.

Giani's

The Giani's outlet in Rajouri Garden is probably their oldest and most iconic branch in Delhi which serves ice creams and shakes made from their original recipes. Their nutty-buddy chocolate cones and traffic jam sundae have a fan-following of their own, but we would suggest trying out the Golden Glow ice cream soda that tastes like pure nostalgia from your childhood days.

Anjilika

The Rajouri Garden Market is home to some of the oldest family-owned bakeries in the Capital. Gayway The Baking Street, Puri Bakers and Mister Gulati Bakers are some of every resident's go-to options for yummy cakes, patties and breads. Our favourite one is Anjilika, simply because their mushroom patties have no competition and we love how they have ample eggless options for those who avoid eggs. Also, the ambiance of the place is genuinely great, their in-house cafe is a great space to hang out if you want to take a break from the heavy lifting amidst your shopping spree.

Crazy Cow

Another famous haunt in the Rajouri Garden Market, Crazy Cow serves the most delicious desi Chinese food that's simply unbeatable because of the quality ingredients and delicious preparations. The portion sizes are generous but you better don't think of it as an average neighborhood Chinese place because their food is genuinely great and so, the prices are a bit on the higher side.

Where To Shop:

It doesn’t matter how much you end up eating or drinking – if you didn’t shop, did you really even go to the Rajouri Garden market at all? The market has places that’ll keep you coming back. Here are all the stores and shops you must check out for wedding shopping and more.

Bombay Selections

There's no exaggeration when we say half the Rajouri folks shop for their kurta's unstitched materials from Bombay Selections. The quality and designs of their fabrics speak for themselves so you don't have to doubt the prices. The two-storied store also houses stitched lehengas and gowns along with sarees so you are pretty much sorted for your wedding shopping.

Shabad

If you are looking for beautiful kurta sets and lehengas, then don't skip this shop by any chance. Shabad has the most stunning outfit options and a huge collection to choose from so you will definitely find something to match your taste. They also do customisations in case you already have a design in your mind but that will obviously cost you more than the ones they have showcased in their store.

Simran

With a wide range of ethnic wear available, this is the place in the Rajouri Garden market to head to if you are looking to invest in quality and affordable apparel that will last you for seasons. This multi-storied outlet offers a number of choices so, be prepared to be spoilt for choice when you visit. From lightly embroidered clothing to bridal wear, you will find it all here. We absolutely love their collection of sharara sets which are also super trending.

LBB Tip: Don't have time to step out? Buy sharara sets online.

Lucky Silk Store

From lehengas, to trendy tulle gowns — they have got a lot that is waiting for you. This store in Rajouri Garden market would be the perfect choice for all your wedding reception needs. We completely fell in love with a sculptural tulle gown that had its corset embellished, and it was priced fairly decent at INR 27,000. Good deal, isn't?

Soni Sapphire

If you are looking for quality fashion or silver jewellery then don't think twice and head to Soni Sapphire. They have an amazing collection with designs ranging from everyday wear to heavy bridal wear so you will have a lot of crucial shopping decisions to make here. Do make a note that they don't allow photography inside their stores by anyhow.

Stelatoes

From embellished party footwear to everyday slippers and even snazzy bags for your trousseau, Stelatoes is the one-stop shop that has all things accessories at the most affordable prices. They also have a store in Lajpat Nagar and Kamla Nagar so you know the hype around this store isn't a fluke.

What To Do:

While most of your time will be spent eating and shopping at Rajouri Garden, there are a few things you can do while in the neighborhood.

Looks Salon

The Rajouri Garden Market has several salons but a tried-and-tested one is the Looks Salon. Head here for some much-needed TLC whether it's in the form of a massage or a new style to bring in the festive season in style.

Mystery Rooms

Mystery Rooms is the perfect place to go to with your gang. The idea is to live-escape a room with the help of clues and teamwork, complete with audio and visual effects to enhance the experience.

Bindra Park

The nearest park in the neighborhood, Bindra Park is a spot where the residents of Rajouri Garden go to chill and get the morning sun. They also have an in-house composting area which is a great effort put in by the MCD.

Oh! My Nails

If you want to get your nails done, then Rajouri Garden Market is just the place to be! With over fifty nail salons, since the competition is high, you will find nail services at every possible price point. If you want our suggestion, simply head to Oh! My Nails. The place might be small but their nail services are worth the visit. Be it eyelash extensions, nail extensions or even getting your nails done for your wedding — they are fully equipped to take your nails from drab to fab!

Pro-tip: Call them up to make an appointment prior to your visit if you don't want to wait for long since the place is usually packed with customers.

INOX Insignia

If you visit Rajouri and are in the mood to watch a movie then INOX Insignia in R-Cube Monade Mall is your best bet! While there are other movie halls too (INOX in Vishal Mall, PVR in Pacific Mall and Wave Cinema), the INOX Insignia in R-Cube is the most luxurious one—the interiors are super plush, reclining seats and obviously, popcorn and other yummy snacks to make your movie experience even better!
