Shortcut

Situated at the edge of a jungle, and close to the crystal clear water of the Ganga, bookmark this for when you want to get away and live among the birds, the fish, the butterflies and nothing else at all.

Back To Basics

Take the short hike up to Kuflon Basics, and what awaits you is practically paradise. Listen to the roar of the rushing water, the chirping of the birds, crickets and cicadas, and if you angle your nose just right, you can smell something cooking—probably the home-made mutton curry. Oh, and did we mention that they have the cutest, furriest dogs on the property?

A Labour Of Love

If there’s one thing that {mostly repeat} guests all agree on, it is that the personal touches here really seal the deal. Whether at the campsite, eating dinner around a roaring fire, the effort they take into making your fishing trip or trek pleasant and obstacle-free, or how clean the rooms are, this is the kind of place you don’t want to tell anybody about, but keep coming back to yourself.

They have five rooms {three with double beds, and two with three beds}—each has an attached bathroom, and a balcony that overlooks the pretty property. They also have three tents; all have twin beds, a writing table and a downside: Shared toilets.

But by far the best part of Kuflon Basics is the food: Home-made, will leave you wanting more each time, and on the house.
