Of the many wonders of the radio, the biggest has been an introduction to a hot bed of artists and singers from Delhi. Including the wonderful alt jazz, bluesy duo – Ditty and Mark. Post a training at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music in Pondicherry, where they were introduced to Balkan, Greek, Brazilian and Carnatic music, the duo began playing together in 2011, and have been immersed in the music scene ever since. They’ve been featured on Tehelka Music Project, Hit 95 FM {where we first heard them}, and Aditi Veena {Ditty} landed a sweet sweet profile in the pages of Elle Magazine recently too. Yes, they’re popular. But that’s not why they’re in Little Black Book Delhi.

It’s this ballad. Aditi’s vocals. A mellow strumming of the guitar; restrained, controlled and not overwhelming. Lyrics that’ll melt your insides. There’s a subdued elegance to Moonlighter, and its acoustic setting transports you to the pictures in the video {below} – you could be strolling around Hauz Khas, or tapping your feet to their performance at TLR. Aditi’s voice can make you embark on a daydream –  lying somewhere and staring at starry sky, walking along the shores of a pristine beach during sunset, or looking out a window while it pours gently outside {freak showers, hurrah!}.

Press play, and Mark will draw the outline for your adventures, while Ditty colours them in.
