What Is It?

The sixth edition of the annual IHC Indian Languages Festival, Samanvay. The evening will witness a session on Languages of Delhi with panelists Alok Rai, Sohail Hashmi and Syeda Hameed. The curtain raiser will be followed by a series of events every month, finally leading to the main event in November.

Who Is It For?

Language enthusiasts, this is your chance to increase your knowledge about Urdu, Santhali, Khasi, Gujrati and Telugu. This is for people for all dialects out there to have a no-tongues barred conversation with the panelists, as well as other attendees.

Anything Else?

The event is also a launch for the ILF Samanvay Documentation Project Landscaping Delhi: Mapping a City’s Linguistic Routes. There will be readings by Fouzia Dastango, the first female Dastango of the modern times. The readings will be in different dialects spoken all over the capital. Also, keep your eyes and ears open for various surprises leading up to the main event!
