Sanchita Ajjampur’s Collection Will Take You To Space And Beyond

The Scoop

After having trained in Paris and Milan, Sanchita Ajjampur began her eponymous label in 2007. This year, for her A/W ’16 collection, Sanchita has taken inspiration from the Memphis Art Movement from the eighties, which means you’ll see lots of geometric shapes and futuristic influences.

The Style

The whole look is very athleisure meets edgy. Expect cool, casual silhouettes in the form of shirt-dresses, tutu skirts, net blouses, and bomber jackets. You’ll find sci-fi patchwork, sequins, and crystal & stone embroidery symbolising stars and meteor showers. Shades like white, grey, taupe, navy, plum, black, silver, and gold feature heavily throughout the collection.

They even have sparkling sneakers, high top trainers, platform wedges, Oxfords, and more in materials like metallic leather, suede, rabbit fur.

What We Love

We’ve seen many brands do futuristic clothing, but we haven’t seen something as wearable as Sanchita’s collection.

Who It’s For

If your tastes border on the experimental, or you want to move away from the conventional, body-hugging and pretty, and try something more bold and edgy, this collection would be right up your alley.
