My favourite place to eat in Delhi finally reopens. I was gutted when Diva Spiced shuttered down in Meherchand Market. It's been my go-to spot for Asian food. And I am so so glad it's back, in a swankier, newer spot in N Block market, 2 doors down from Cafe Diva. 

Though the seating capacity is limited, I love the new decor at Diva Spiced. Continues to not be very Asian (those familiar with their older outlet)- and their menu delivers on a modern take on Asian food, too. 

I was with a bunch of my friends and we gorged on their Mango and Avocado Salad (exceptional!), Prawn Kasundi Dim sum, Duck Baos, Steamed Chicken and Brown Rice and Glass Noodle, Tofu and Mushroom mains. 

Their food is incredible! Super light, super flavourful, and easy on the stomach. 

We ordered a bottle of Chianti to go with our meal, but they've introduced a couple of cocktails as well. 

Service is awesome- as it is at most DIVA restaurants

Portions are generous. 4 starters and 2 mains were enough for our table. 

There are enough options for both veg and non-vegetarian folks.

What Makes It Awesome?

It's still pretty expensive (especially with drinks) but worth the once in 1-2 month indulgent meal.

Diva Spiced Finally Reopens At A Gorgeous New Location!

Basanti

A multi-designer store-cum-cafe, Basanti opened shop in the Meherchand market recently. They've done up the store impeccably well, and their curation is really really well done. From suits and tunics to lehengas, juttis, bags, and dupattas, they've got an array of pastel-shaded apparel and accessories at their store. It's also a welcome respite from all the bling-blinged-out I usually find at Indian-wear stores. I found things from Matsya, Zariin, Needledust and Tarini Nirula here.

What Makes It Awesome

It's really well priced, with options ranging from INR 2000 onwards. They've also got a lovely collection of incense sticks at their store. Also, it's a couple of doors down from Diva Spiced in case you're in the mood for Asian food post a little bit of shopping.
