Learn To Write A Bestselling Novel With HarperCollins

What's Happening?

There’s a lot that goes behind writing a best-selling novel and that’s what this workshop is all about. And what makes it so special is that it's the last workshop with HarperCollins for the season. It must surely end with a bang!

The workshop will cover an array of topics that’ll throw some light into the hard work that goes behind writing, publishing and turning a manuscript into a bestseller. Always wanted to write like James Patterson, Daniel Silva or Hussain Zaidi? Here’s your chance to learn the tips and tricks on how to write thrillers that are unputdownable. More so, what are the structural elements that create a visually enticing plot. You definitely want your audience to yearn for more, after reading every chapter in that book. How can you attain that? It will cover the ways to weave compelling conflict and suspense into your story. We all know that best-selling novels often make it to the big screen. Well, this workshop will also shed light on the behind-the-scenes stories of how books get made into movies/shows!

It’s hard to contain excitement when there is such an incredible lineup of speakers for this workshop! We have S. Hussain Zaidi who is a veteran of investigative, crime and terror reporting, and a bestselling writer. His previous chart-topping books include Black Friday, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Dongri to Dubai, Byculla to Bangkok, Mumbai Avengers and Eleventh Hour (to name a few), some of which have been adapted into Bollywood films. Some of his works have been adapted into shows on Netflix.

Additionally, we have Arcopol Chaudhuri, who is rights & backlist manager at HarperCollins. His work is focused on audiovisual rights licensing, besides audiobook adaptations and translations into Indian and foreign languages. And last but definitely not the least, we have Diya Kar, who is a publisher and rights director at HarperCollins India. She began her career at HarperCollins over two decades ago and has, over the years, worked at Penguin, Bloomsbury, and Pan Macmillan.

How is one supposed to miss a stellar workshop like this one!
