6 Reasons Amazon India Fashion Week is Bigger & Better This Year

The information in this post might be outdated

There are plenty of clothes, accessories and big names to look forward to at Amazon India Fashion Week, but that’s not all! We got Malika V Kashyap {Founder of Border&Fall}, Rasna Bhasin {Fashion Blogger} and Aashti Bhartia {Director at Ogaan India} to tell us what they’re most looking forward to.

The New Venue, as per Rasna Bhasin

This is all anyone can talk about, really. The Amazon India Fashion Week shifts to a brand new venue this year - the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. It’s bigger, it’s fresher and you can expect a few surprises alright.

The Style Inspirations, as per Aashti Bhartia

You already know that AIFW will see some of the choicest people in the fashion industry attending, and we’re going to be looking at them to amp up our style game. Whether it’s Anaita Shroff Adajania {Fashion Director of Vogue} or Nidhi Jacob and Malini Banerjee {of Elle}, you know they’ll be in the most 'in' pair of shoes, and sporting the hippest labels. We’re also excited about Edward Lalrempuia’s ensembles {men, take note, he's the Fashion Director at Harper's} and Ekta Rajani’s {of Grazia} experimental style. Keep a sharp eye out.

With Pearl Academy’s increased involvement this year, there are a few talks to look forward to, and there’s one in particular you must bookmark: Manou of Wearabout. A street style blogger, he will shed light on the curve the fashion industry is on. Considering he’s usually behind the lens, it’ll be insightful at best. Don’t miss out.

The Frow, as per Malika V Kashyap and Rasna Bhasin

For all newbies in the house, by ‘frow’ we mean the front row, where you can spot the who’s who of the industry. It also happens to be the best place for a spot of people watching; you never know what you’ll pick up from the dynamics. Who to look for? Nonita Kalra; the returning Editor in Chief at Harper’s Bazaar.

The Instagram Handles on Fleek, as per Aashti Bhartia

Can’t make it this time, or would rather just lounge in your PJs but still get a view into it all? We’ve got the best Instagram handles for you to follow, should you want a 360 degree look into this year’s AIFW:

If there’s one thing this city loves, it's food. With the Grub Fest running parallel to AIFW, you’re going to have the best of both fashion and food. Alternate between the two and you know your soul and your stomach will be equally sated.

You can also expect key people from the industry to take over Little Black Book’s handle for unique insights!
