Based out of Jaipur, Craft Boat makes stationery and paper products out of recycled cotton in a factory in Sanganer. Inspired by the colours and character of The Pink City, each of their collection is pretty as a picture.

Be Nice & Organise

The brand is two years old but their designs are timeless. All the raw material for the products is discarded denim and cotton tees from manufacturing houses. Their team of skilled paper-makers then work on these clothes to turn them into paper followed by another set of artisans who design them using different techniques such as block printing, marble printing or screen printing.

Priti, the founder of the brand, tells us that the idea was born from the craft paper boats we made as children. The plan was to have a line of paper products that were as useful as they were beautiful. This balance is pretty evident in the way she plays with forms and patterns. Inspiration strikes her from bougainvillea and forts or at the sight of surprise monsoon showers and she interprets it in true pink city style. See these marble printed mini briefcases that are as soothing as these are peppy. So, there, get what we said about them getting the balance right?

In keeping with the energy and personality of Jaipur, the maker has decidedly gone for ethnic prints and bright colours. The best way to describe the beauties we see would be as the stationery equivalent of our Fabindia/Anokhi kurtas. Look at this diary, for instance, isn’t this just the spark of sunshine you need on a dull Monday morning? And, we’re writing letters just so we can find use for these floral journals

So, We're Saying...

We have our eyes {and heart} set on this stationery set that’s full of things we need and those we just want because they look so pretty.

Stationery struck yet? You can connect with Priti on Facebook or Instagram {she’s pretty prompt tbh} and order away. The good thing is, she also takes bulk orders so if you’re thinking of Diwali gifts, these might be it. The stuff will be couriered to your doorstep.
