The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

The New Delhi Marathon is set to take place next month. Hosted by IDBI Federal Insurance and NEB Sports, this is the third edition of the marathon, following the success of their past two editions. The aim of this marathon is to encourage sports and fitness amongst the urban population.

Who Is It For?

Anyone and everyone who loves running. It’s open to all age groups, starting from six year olds {if the participant is between six and twelve years, they have to be accompanied by adults, of course}. So for anyone willing to run a 5 K, 10 K, 21 K half marathon and a 42 K marathon.

Why Should I Go For It?

It’s a great opportunity to just get out on the open road and run. Plus, the event calls for some serious ground work, so you’ll have an excuse to start training. The 10-K marathon will be timed, so you’ll have to prepare for it accordingly. The registration fee isn’t much,  INR 1,550 for the 42K marathon, INR 1,350 for the 21K half marathon , INR 850 for the 10K marathon and INR 650 for the 5K Swachh Bharat Run. This includes the entry fee, a hot breakfast, a finisher’s medal, a race T-shirt and BIB with timing chip.

Anything Else?

You still have plenty of time to prepare; keep in mind that registration for the event is only online. You can register here.
