What Is It?
Performers’ Consortium is presenting a series of curated events this poetry season, and the first in their line-up is About Sylvia: Lifting Of The Bell Jar, based on the turbulent life of American writer Sylvia Plath, a poet herself.
Performers’ Consortium, a recently founded collective of independent performance artists, puts together heterogeneous art forms of unconventional structure with no judgment or intimidation. This could be a blend of performance poetry, stand-up comedy, music, dance, filmmaking and theatre, while incorporating features, issues and ideas of indigenous nature.
About Sylvia has been devised, directed and performed by Kanika Aurora.
Who Is It For?
Those who enjoy performance art by emerging artists, and are particularly intrigued by Sylvia Plath’s life and works. For those of you yet to be introduced to Plath, this is a good starting point.
Why Should I Go For It?
