Maker's Asylum Is The Coolest Creators' Co-Working Space & Here's Why

What Makes It Awesome

Maker’s Asylum in Hauz Rani is a community makers’ space, a co-working of sorts for all designers and creators. It has got 3D printing, laser cutting, woodwork machines, and all the power tools to bring your designs to life. For when you need help, their regular workshops will be your saving grace.

Started by Vaibhav Chhabra, Maker’s Asylum Delhi is a venture that aims to incorporate a maker culture in this city. It’s a collaborative space where people can come, work on their projects (of all kinds), meet like-minded individuals, and go back home knowing that there’s a haven where ideas can be transformed into reality. While they’ve got a swankier base in Mumbai, the Delhi space (managed by Ishaan Rastogi) will work just as well to get your projects started.

We are in awe of the Red Bull installation made entirely with Red Bull cans, the Fujifilm Photo Wheel, and an uber-cool Arcade Machine that are made from scratch at the Maker’s Asylum in Delhi.

We all need a little help once in a while, and that’s where the workshops held at Maker’s Asylum make a world of difference. Mostly on weekends, the good folks here host a variety of informative and fun workshops like wood-working for beginners, jewellery design, rapid prototyping courses and more. They even hosts meetups and talks, some of which are also free.

Charges: INR 590 for a day pass and INR 4,900 for a monthly pass (AI).

Pro-Tip

Check out their website and the Instagram page (@makersasylum) to stay updated with all of their workshops and for more info about charges.
