From Exotic Cocktails To Delicious Salads: This New Bar Is A Must-Visit

What Makes It Awesome

The latest addition to South Delhi's bustling nightlife, Blaq is a cocktail bar and casual dining place that blew us away with its luxurious interiors and superb cocktails. Spread across two levels, the bar has velvet upholstery with tons of gold detailing and neon signs that give it a glamorous look. The upper level has a curved glass ceiling with ample greens that looks fresh both in terms of design and feel. Dining under the stars (almost)? You got it.

Blaq has five cocktails on its menu, designed by mixologist Viju Raj and a fully stocked bar. All the cocktails were well balanced with in-house syrups and the presentation was on point. The 'Another Drink', a gin-based cocktail was our personal favourite. Another great thing about Blaq is its focus on non-alcoholic beverages. They have some superb smoothies and cold-pressed juices on their menu that use fresh ingredients and are a great excuse to head there for breakfast as well. You'll come out feeling super satiated. We can guarantee it. We liked the 'Purple Jive' smoothie the best.

Coming to food, Blaq has some pretty interesting and refreshing salads on its menu. The 'Grape and Cheese Salad' was just perfect and something we would like to go back again for. The cuisine, in general, is a mix of European, Asian, and Continental. Some must-haves would be wild mushroom arancini, lamb chops, and spinach risotto. Oh, and for people who aren't big on desserts, their stone fruit salad with mascarpone cheese is the perfect end to the meal.

The bar also serves hookah on the upper floor and while we didn't try it out, people sure seemed to enjoy the experience. Blaq has plans to add a live mixing counter to its bar on the upper level. We are super excited to see that in action.

What Could Be Better

We felt that the dumplings were either too spicy or too bland, so that could be better.

Pro-Tip

Since it's a luxury dining experience, we recommend reserving it for those cash-rich days.
