Visited this beautiful luxury wildlife hotel last week and it was love at first sight. We stayed in their beautiful treehouse with unparalleled views of the Satpura backwaters and jungles. From our treehouse, we spotted wild boars and a lone jungle cat once, and many birds of different species. The stunning views, rustic and charming decor, smiling staff and top organic food makes Denwa Backwater Escape my choice for a stay in Satpura.

Go on the canoe ride and the walking safari. This is one of the few parks in India where you can walk inside the core zone. We spotted wild dogs on our canoe ride and just missed a leopard on the walking one - though, I am sure he saw us. Naturalist Harendra Sahu is a delight to be around - always smiling, sweet and knowledgeable.
