The Long of it…
The Portret Project, a niche art gallery focussing on portraiture as an art form, is hosting an exhibition of works in a standard format, showcasing a variety of artists across genres. As part of a year long project that aims to make portraiture accessible to the young collector, the inaugural show will be held over two weeks, with the first batch of participating artists.
As for the art?
The only curatorial agenda imposed on the artist is the uniformity of the size, 11.7 X16.5 inches, allowing the artist to express him/herself within a standardized format. All artwork is priced at INR 20,000, make it accessible to a young collector. The aim is, to make collecting {or at least the beginning of it}, for the younger generation accessible, thereby giving it a starting point.

The artists showcasing include V. Anamika, Prasannakumar N, Avijit Mukherjee, Naveen Kumar, Aishwaryan K, Venugopal VG, Sahaya Sharma, Pallav Chander, Umashankar V., Sumit Biswas, Ayesha Singh, Alpesh Dave, Pulkit Prajapati, Purvi Parmar, Harshada Kerker, Jeet Pandya and Sagar Bhowmick.
