What Makes It Awesome

It is that sparkling time of the year again! Decorating your home to match your spirit is a part and parcel of the Diwali deal, and what better way to welcome the festival of light each year, than with glowing lanterns.

Only this season, lanterns and lamps to light up your home will not come from a shop along the sidewalk or the store around the corner; it will come straight you from you! Yes, Ptah and Oritecture collaboratively organizing a hands-on workshop on the art of Origami Lanterns and Lamps this weekend.

Anything Else?

Celebrate the spirit of the festive season with a DIY workshop focused on creating stunning light prototypes for your home, work-space or school. You will explore hand-made paper, acetate sheets, polypropylene and satin fabric paper together with a gamut of origami and kirigami techniques from the renowned artist Ankon Mitra. From modular techniques to single sheet forms, and from a frosted lighting effect to a sprinkling of point light effects, the workshop seeks to celebrate every aspect of lighting and the ways in which it transforms spaces.

Oh yes! The package, aside from the workshop, includes material & a lunch at the venue, so you can soak in some sun while you gorge on a healthy, hearty meal. What about when you need a break from all that learning? There’s high tea for you too.

Plus, we suggest you register ASAP. There’s a very limited number of seats available. Check out their Facebook event page for registration and updates here - { https://goo.gl/pkL2Ey?utm_source=LBB&ref=lbbpost }.
