This clothing line is doing effortlessly chic clothing, perfect for the working millennial. The Urth Label is doing incredible stuff, and what’s better is the way they’re giving back to the environment.

What Makes Them Awesome

Started by Udai Arora and Caroline Zeliang, this brand was created with an aim to create and give back simultaneously. The Urth Label, as the name suggests, is doing beautifully tailored clothing and giving back to the environment. They’re attempting to encourage a more responsible approach to fashion.

With reinvented classics (like their take on the gingham dress) wardrobe essentials and more, the clothing is more subtle rather than blingy, and works perfectly as desk-to-dinner wear. Their clothing combines style and functionality with breathable, comfy fabrics and statement designs. Box shirts with careful attention-paid-to cuffs, gingham prints, edgy co-ords (we love the orange and lilac shorts and blazer set) and gorgeous dresses and jumpsuits. They’ve struck the perfect cord between formal and chic, and have launched a collection you can wear to any occasion. It's a little more expensive than usual—a nice dress starts at INR 2,800 and tops start at INR 2,300, which is still less than the average dress at Zara.

A portion of every sale they make goes towards funding, planting and taking care of trees. They follow a strict, zero-waste culture, and everything from scrap paper to extra material is sent to NGOs, used as raw material for art and craft workshops for underprivileged children. They make sure every ounce of material is utilised.

What Could Be Better

They haven't changed their collection too much—we'd like to see some new designs for Fall/Winter.
