The Trial Run Of The Metro's Heritage Line Has Begun

The information in this post might be outdated

The wait is almost over, and we can’t be more excited about the metro’s Heritage Line. An extension of the Violet Line, it covers Delhi Gate, Jama Masjid and Red Fort, over 5.1 kilometres. They’re opening to the public in November, hopefully, and we can’t wait.

According to this Indian Express article, this section was a pretty challenging project because of the city structure and dense population. While the Yellow Line also passes through Chandni Chowk and other areas of Old Delhi, this one will have special features like informative panels that tell you more about Shahjahanabad.
