This Twilight Jungle Walk In The City Has Many Ghost Stories

Rene posted on 12th January

What Is It?

Delhi By Foot has a unique walk moonlit walk planned this Saturday. They’ll take an unsuspecting group through the eerie forests around Mehrauli, narrating tales of fakirs, Djinns and the fort that was turned into a gruesome slaughterhouse at the hands on the Raj.

Word of advice: This historical-cum-supernatural walk on a full moon night isn’t the best idea for the faint-hearted.

Who Is It For?

Those who’ve spent their childhood calling spirits on to rudimentary cardboards and definitely those who dig paranormal stuff. History buffs and curious types will also enjoy this spooky winter trail.

Why Should I Go For It?

According to Hindu mythology, dusk is when hostile spirits roam free, and it’s sometimes possible to feel their presence. Ramsay movies flashback, anyone?

We don’t know about you but the prospect of discovering hidden stories, talking about evil spirits and reliving the times when we used to watch horror movies and then refuse to open the door is all too exciting for us.

Plus, foodies can stick around and eat with the Delhi By Foot gang at an iconic Delhi eatery {you pay for your food} after the walk.

Anything Else?

These stories will be told in a mix of English, Hindi and Urdu and since there’ll be a lot of walking involved, load up on sweaters and wear comfy walking shoes. Carry a torch, mosquito repellent and your own water bottle.
