One of our Gurgaon favourites, we’ve visited {and spoken about} Di Ghent Café many times. It made its way to our list of best coffees, best hot chocolates and waffle list, but its heavenly coffee, tasty food, lovely restaurant space, and vibrant energy have us absolutely hooked.

What Makes It Awesome

While in Cross Point Mall looking for another spot, we ended up walking right by Di Ghent’s huge glass windows, and found a scene filled with revelry. On a casual Thursday afternoon, they were packed with people. The sound of chatter and the divine smell of bread wafted through their open, welcoming doors.

The interiors were heavy on use of wood and, while the décor was not, the place still reminded us of a quaint Parisian café.

ou could get starters {mainly bruschetta and toast-based}, salads, paninis, pastas, bakes and desserts. You had choice for the type of bread, or pasta, used in your dishes. We ordered the Pals panini {Di Ghent special} in Ciabatta bread, and the Groot Vleeshuis {carbonara} pasta, with a fresh lime to wash it down.

The panini was just great, and the pasta was just good. The Pals panini was their twist on the classic BLT, though no matter how much you try and change it those flavours always ring true, and through. We really enjoyed it.

The pasta, while really filling, was as you would expect for a carbonara; hot, creamy and full of bacon. After gulping down our fresh lime, we decided to throw caution to the wind, and let the coffee machine tempt us, enjoying a heavenly, heady cappuccino.

We really enjoyed our visit to Di Ghent. The service was quick {about 10 – 15 minutes from order to food on plate}, energy was high and interiors were attractive, all at reasonable prices.

It’s a great spot to meet friends for delectable coffee in the evenings. The small and vegetarian-friendly menu still has a lot to offer, and we’ll be back to try it again.
