Located 7 kms downhill from the slope from Abby Falls, Shangri-la homestay is a hidden gem in the scenic peaks of Madalpati. Our host, Jaya, made us feel at home right away and was always at our service. The home-made pork curry and chicken curry served was authentic and delicious. For breakfast, we had Pulihora and Rice Balls (which is a staple food of Coorg) with coconut chutney. My favourite part of the trip was right after dinner, when we sat in the verandah and spotted fireflies.
