Inaugurated on Jan 16 by Delhi Development Minister, Gopal Rai, the veterinary hospital in Tiz Hazari is the city's first animal health care centre that will operate round-the-clock.
Facilities like OPDs, sterilisation of strays, a cow shelter home, operation theatres, a dressing room, and vaccinations will be offered at this certified hospital. Good news for all animal-lovers, because almost all the treatments and medicines available here will be free of cost (including vaccination for rabies).
Five doctors and four multi-tasking staff will be working at the animal hospital in three shifts - from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.
The Animal Husbandry Department has also launched a helpline number (011-23967555) that will be operational 24x7 for booking appointments and to address queries regarding facilities available at this hospital.
