This week we set out in search of our own trails. In a way we rediscovered food and textile like we had never before. So scroll into our lives here at LBBD and let us know what you have been up to this week as well!
Merry at the mela | We went to the DCWA mela! This is at the German stall which gave us a glimpse of their cuisine, right here in Delhi.
Shawl brawls | Over the week, we caught up with a "shawl connoisseur" and learned the most fascinating things about textiles, textures, embroidery et. all that go into creating one of these wonders. And yes, we're telling you all about it in the coming week!
Unhinged at the Hindu | Hindu college losing an H, reminds us of the state our government colleges are actually in.
Pesto in a pocket | Team meeting at Shahpur Jat ought to end with good food. Currently munching on pesto and spinach pockets at The Wishing Chair.
Share your story | Attended Gaysi magazine launch at Goethe-Institute on Thursday. Gay, straight, bi- whatever your choice- you've got to get a copy of this. Kudos to the team for putting together such a well designed zine!
New store in town | We went to Nivasa at Meherchand market. Not particularly affordable, but pretty stuff, nonetheless.
Feast for the gods | A special 10-course menu was prepared for us by three of Asia’s best Chefs— Indian Accent’s Manish Mehrotra, Gaggan Anand (from Bangkok) and Dharshan Munidasa (from Colombo) as a prelude to Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards which will be held on 24th February ’14 at Capella Singapore.
Know your scotch | The city’s scotch enthusiasts gathered on an early winter evening last week to taste and cast their votes in favour of one three new vintages that Glenlivet has introduced, as part of a worldwide tour!
A new beginning | We bid our very first office farewell yesterday. This two room space witnessed some of the most interesting discussions, conversations with a bunch of brilliant people, and offered us a space to build the blocks for LBBD. We're kicked about the next spot we take- but this one's always going to be super special for each and everyone from the LBBD crew! Adieu!
