This week, we rediscovered our love for Hauz Khas Village, shopped in time for the festive season, gorged on beer, burgers and besan ki burfee, and had the first of many sessions of what will be one of the most fun events we've had! Oh, and we found a new {interim} office.. More on that later; first, here's how the LBBD crew kept itself busy.
The Village Resurrection | The quaint, esoteric cafe's and bars are making a comeback in HKV, including Barsroom, opened by former Flipsider's. We spent a lazy Wednesday afternoon writing and reading at this venue.
Stairway to heaven | We spend every fortnight with a few of our fellow entrepreneurial friends; our last meeting was later in the week at Madhav Raman's, co-founder of Anagram Architects, office- it's sprawling, incredibly well done up, and is sustainably built- these staircases are constructed using reclaimed wood! To Sikkim we go | One of the most excited trekkers in our crew is making her way to Sikkim; pictured here, prep for the trip at Adventure 18 in Satya Niketan. It's excellent for outdoor gear.
Toms in town | Sunglasses hoarders alert; Toms has come to town, and they're retailing out of Second Floor Studio. We couldn't give the opportunity a miss. Here's what we bought- like them?
Booty Call | Sarojini Nagar was FULL of surprises last weekend- we stumbled upon these stunning boots at Shop #26. Keep a look-out on LBBD for our boots for the season list.
Winter beckons comfort food | Burgers and beer? The combination at Smokehouse Deli {in HKV} was a hit for us. Also, we found that gluttony is not sin if one indulges in desi-ghee laden besan ki burfee. God bless bomber jackets and overcoats for this season.
Get Social! | Why are Delhiwaalas so afraid of talking to strangers? We took it upon ourselves to get people of this city talking and mingling, and learning more than a thing or two about cocktails at Delhi Cocktail Club. Ace mixologist Arijit Bose will take us on a drunk-worthy journey over cocktails, conversations and more. We're ECSTATIC about this- stay tuned for details.
Deck the halls with boughs of holly | The corridors of Imperial are all set for Christmas; couldn't spot Rudolph amongst the other reindeers. Also, when at Imperial, get a seat at 1911- it's one of our favourite {too expensive, albeit} cafes in town.
The BEST of the week | The LBBD crew and a bunch of our readers went to Ritinjali's school in Kusumpur Pahari for the 4th edition of Get Crafty. Look at what the kids made!
