What Is It?

The Directorate of Film Festivals is organising an Independence Day film festival {yay!} as part of the official Ministry of Defence programme for Independence Day. It looks like this year we’re going to see some fantastic movies screened over one entire week.

Who Is It For?

Movie buffs and those who want to catch a glimpse of old-world cinema should be making their way to this. And what’s more, there will be three shows per day, so in case you miss one, you can always catch another, through the week.

Why Should You Go For It?

There will be 20 hand-picked movies. The roster includes Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner Manoj Kumar’s patriotic films, other movies in various Indian languages, and some motivational and inspiring films for children.

We definitely recommend this since this can be your only chance to watch some rare movies from the archives.
