What Makes It Awesome?

The oldest 5-star in Jaipur offers an array of spots where you get the perfect pictures. Quite close to the Gandhinagar railway station and the airport, this hotel has an arty feel. A warm welcome and colourful lobby brighten up the day. The velvet sofas with brightly coloured cushions are quite an eye-catcher. Even as you check-in, just hang around a while to enjoy the painted wall behind the reception, the bouquet of flowers on an old piano, sculptures, golden chandeliers and even a cart with metal kettles. In fact, the hotel grounds are dotted with these fluid sculptures made by Ankit Patel. Turn a little corner in the lobby and you will see a huge canvas done by 16 eminent artists. This is where you can take a family or group picture.

For those who seek some low calorie, fresh salads, Zolocrust, the 24X7 live bakery and pizzeria is the place. No servers here—a team of chefs takes your order and rest is self-service. The meals come in biodegradable plates, the veggies are grown in-house and they taste simply delicious. My recommendation in salads goes for fresh quinoa and watermelon and feta cheese. Do try the Hazelnut bars and coffee too.

For North Indian and Continental cuisine, head to Durbar hall. So, we had the buffet breakfast and lunch here which offers a vast variety. From fresh juices to fruits, Pohas, pooris and live counters, breakfast is a cool affair. Look around though to see the court scenes painted on the walls. The restaurant overlooks the swimming pool, spa and gym. There is a 450-year-old wooden carved door that serves as the apt place for a mandap and other celebrations. This gives a great backdrop for a picture.

The hotel has good facilities for MICE and weddings as the room inventory is around 215. There are penthouses, suites along with club and superior rooms. The bathrooms come fitted with a hairdryer and other amenities.

No need to step out for a drink in the evening. Just walk into the oldest lift in the pink city and press 8 to go to ta Blu, the rooftop café bar, where the breeze and the spirits mingle. Offering a glittery view of the city, it has some yum snacks and right next to it is Dhola Maru restaurant which serves Rajasthani cuisine.

Should you forget a souvenir, the hotel has a shop which sells artefacts, jewellery, clothes and some home linen and decor items.
