There's hardly been a time that we've come back from Dilli Haat disappointed, and the ongoing festival had us returning for a second {organic} helping. The Women Of India festival has about 230 stalls dedicated to the sale of organic and eco-friendly goods, which range from pesticide-free rice, pulses, spices, veggies, fruits, organic cotton fabric, seeds & sapplings, to beauty & wellness.
The best part? Close to 500 women artisans/entrepreneurs from all over the country have come together to showcase their unique, environment-friendly goods. We urge you to visit the festival, and while you're there {go soon, 'cos it's on only till Oct 23}, definitely stop by these stalls that we absolutely loved.
Maharishi Ayurveda
According to the principles of Ayurveda, there are three doshas {vata, pitta, kapha}, each comprising two of the five elements {air, ether, water, earth, and fire}. If you can figure out your own dosha {ask them to explain the traits of each to help you identify yours}, they have teas which you can take to balance yours. They even have jars of apple jam!
What We Loved: We tried all their teas and honestly loved all of them! If you like yours a little on the sweeter side, try the Vata Tea

Aura Herbal Textiles
Sourced from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, these fabrics are fashioned from organic cotton and printed using herbal dyes. Each roll of fabric measures 2.5 metres, making them just the right amount for a kurta or even a pair of pants. You could even make yourself an eco-friendly pair of jeans; the fabric felt sturdy and stretchy.
What We Loved: The understated yet chic stoles that would add an interesting element to an everyday look

Devang House
Toss your American Garden apple cider vinegar, you guys, 'cos you can get your very own homegrown version at Devang House! They also stock a range of desi superfoods, like triphala and dhamyaa, that are packed with herbs, fruits, and spices. Check out their range of homemade dips, such as spice and herb hummus, infused chilli oil, and almond butter.
What We Loved: Their range of sauces and dips; the basil and pine nut pesto one in particular. It was yum!

Vert
You know that feeling when you enter The Body Shop store? Walking by the Vert stall at Dilli Haat was like that; only better. Their range of products include delish smelling handmade soaps, bath and body products and hair and skin care potions. We couldn't stop ourselves from opening jar after jar of scrubs and lotions and sniffing away happily.
The icing on the fruit-scented cake? Their products are manufactured in a smoke-free environment, completely natural, and are not tested on animals.
What We Loved: Pomegranate Scrubie Smoothie Soap and the Orange Burst & Olive Body Scrub

Parul Singh & Nandani Singh And Cafe Fresco
The stall, run by a husband-wife duo, carried an eclectic mix of products. Apparel, primarily kurtas and jackets, were showcased, along with a range of healthy munchies like vegan chocolate muffins from Cafe Fresco.
What We Loved: The jaggery bars that are great for a quick, healthy snack

Organistick Lipsticks
This stall carried a whole bunch of Ayurvedic hair and skin products, but what caught our eye was their range of organic lipsticks {if that wasn't painfully obvious from the name} and nail polishes. While we're not completely sure about their claims of being completely organic, they're a steal at INR 149 and INR 49 respectively.

Yoshara Naturals Skincare
The Women Of India Festival has a lot of stalls selling beauty products under the natural, herbal umbrella, and Yoshara Naturals was one of the first that we stopped by. Owner, Nandini Kumar, was happy to chat and recommend products from her range as per each individual's requirement. You'll find hand creams, lip scrubs, soaps {even for doggies!}, and nourishing hair oils, all made sans preservatives and chemicals.
What We Loved: The basil-infused face wash and night cream, both of which smelled divine!
