Have A Creative, Zen Weekend: Go Paint Pattachitra On Palm Leaves

Rene posted on 08 April

What Is It?

One of Zorba the Buddha’s upcoming events {on Apr 15} is a special art workshop introducing people to one of the oldest forms of communication and art from Orissa – Pattachitra.

It’ll be conducted by artist Debasi Sethi who has perfected this art form over over the last 15 years and is now adept at making Pattachitra on glass, fabric and even terracotta.

Who Is It For?

Anyone who’s done with the usual drinking and dancing scenes and wants to nourish their soul instead. It’s going to be a chance to be out in the greens and spend time learning a new skill amidst Zorba’s serene surroundings.

Why Should I Go For It?

Zorba itself has a very calming vibe and we bet you’ll like their wholesome lunch and high tea as much as the workshop itself. It can in fact be a chance at a much-needed detox from city life. Think clean eating, therapeutic painting and meeting like-minded folks.

Plus, you get to take your artwork home – let it remind you that life’s more than filling that excel sheet.
