What Makes It Awesome

I visit Goa at least once a year with my friends. In all my previous trips, I have ended up staying in the hostels in Goa or opted for the budget hotels in Goa. But we decided to try something different this time and opted for this villa in Baga beach the minute we saw the pictures.

For one, this gorgeous little villa is located a stone’s throw away from Baga beach, one of the most happening beaches in Goa. North Goa is popular for being the party central, and that’s exactly what we were looking for {one of my friends had even proclaimed that she would be drinking beer instead of water for the entire trip. She is still hungover two weeks later}. The nightlife in Goa is rocking, and Belavida is very close to Tito’s, the most happening club in Goa. And we happened to be in Goa on a Saturday, so we got to check out the famed flea markets in Goa at Baga beach as well. Since it’s not too far from Anjuna beach, we checked out the Anjuna flea market too. Shopping in Goa is a whole other level of therapy, trust me.

Now, the villa itself. There is no dearth of places to stay in Goa, sure. But it’s not often that we find something that feels just like home. This little villa can be rented out as a whole, or you can opt for just a room. The Goan charm is evident in its interiors, with comfortable furnishings and turquoise-hued decor brightening up the cosy space. The villa has a small kitchenette which guests can use to prepare their own food, or you can request for food to be provided. We were treated to scrumptious English breakfasts that kept us full for the rest of the day. But some of the best restaurants in Goa are located nearby, like Britto’s, which is just a walk away.

The caretakers of the villa will charm your pants off with their Goan hospitality.

What Could Be Better?

There’s no pool here. But hey, you have all of Baga beach right there for you!

What's My Pro Tip?

Getting a booking here might be a challenge because it’s usually booked out. So plan in advance, if you can.

Anything Else?

If you’re going to Britto’s, do remember to try their Goan prawn curry and sea food platter.
