Located at the northernmost tip of Goa, perched royally on a hill lies the Tiracol Fort which is now also a heritage hotel. With expansive views of the Tiracol River meeting the Arabian Sea, dolphins jumping around on the horizon, beautiful villages that dot the landscape and glorious sunsets, all of it is on offer at their lovely restaurant on the terrace. Definitely call and book in advance if you're eyeing that cosy table-for-two and go on and order the wine to begin your evening. Best part, it is open throughout the year.

Go With The Flow

Located at the point where the Baga Creek meets the sea, this restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored Portuguese mansion. With mesmerising views of the beach from their garden seating or in the verandah of the mansion, this definitely becomes a great spot for that romantic evening. Add to it their warm hospitality and an interesting menu to pick from, you and bae are sure to have a good time surrounded by cocktails.

P.S. You also have the option of reserving a candlelit dinner with a fixed menu 24 hours in advance.

Banyan Tree

Banyan Tree is perhaps Goa’s oldest Thai cuisine restaurants which is still going strong with its new menu. If you or your date are Thai-food lovers, this is your perfect spot — here you’ll be witness to some scrumptious culinary innovation that’s possible with handpicked Thai ingredients, spices and regional flavours. Located in Taj Holiday Village, Candolim this is *the* date spot — because guess what —  they can set up a magical table-for-two under the magnificent 300-year-old banyan tree, after which the restaurant is named.

Riverside - The Leela Hotel

Though not by the sea, this restaurant overlooks the Sal river and is a dreamy setting for couples. It serves the finest Italian food, and has an extensive wine list which will all but make you believe that you are sitting in Venice. So go ahead, book a table overlooking the river and get ready for a memorable meal with your plus one.

Private Candlelight Dinner On The Backwaters

Yes, you read it right! You can book a Shikara-style romantic and luxurious yacht made to cater for just two whilst you sail down the backwaters of Goa. So experience an amazing night under the stars, with a cool breeze that will make cuddling up even better while you enjoy a glass of wine and a fantastic customised dinner over a span of 2 hours. With some soft music in the background and the gentle bobbing of the boat, it's actually pretty easy to feel all gooey inside. You can check out John's Boat Tours, Atlantis Watersports or Goa Boat Cruise for day/night packages.

Olive Bar & Kitchen

Vagator Beach now has its own Olive, and it’s exactly what #couplegoals are made of. The white walls and wooden furniture along with palm trees swaying in the wind make for the perfect bearings of romance. Sitting on a cliff overlooking the beach, you can munch on their signature Mediterranean and European dishes along with delicious seafood that infuses the Goan culture into the menu.

Cantare

A warm, rustic and extremely charming dinner spot that is known amongst Goa connoisseurs, Cantare is one of our favourites. An old family-run restaurant, this restaurant is housed inside a double storeyed wooden house. Apart from the vintage tavern vibe and the live music, we love that it is located slightly in the interiors which gives the usual cacophony of the area a miss. The restaurant serves Mexican, American, Italian, Seafood, Goan, Thai and each of the cuisines are just as well made. This one's for couples who aren't looking at the most conventional romantic dinner spots.

Suzie's

What’s a romantic dinner that’s not set-up in a charming garden, under magical fairy lights with a five-course meal that’s curated just for you? A quaint and inviting courtyard of an old Portugese house, in the middle of an old Assagao lane, Suzie’s has some deliciously eclectic food and drink options. The handwritten menu fits seamlessly in with the atmosphere of the place, announcing a platter of innovative options in veg and non-veg delicacies. With a set dinner menu, the chef makes sure she switches up the menu every six weeks, making this one a whimsical culinary experience. But remember to call ahead and book, since they only do dinners on reservation basis.

Hika Mizu

A beautiful brunch/early dinner spot, Hika Mizu is located right on the Vagator cliff, overlooking the azure water of the Ozran Beach below. At this cliffside restaurant, and you’ll find a delicious spread of Asian food and of course, a breathtaking view! Tucked away into a fold of the cliff, the restaurant is a little difficult to find, but is completely worth the trouble. A perfect setting for a sunset date, the restaurant offers a wide selection of pan Asian cuisine and cocktails to die for.

Note: They'll reopen in October, after the monsoons have retreated for the season.

A Reverie

Want to take your date for a gastronomical delight ? Head to A Reverie. A fine-dining restaurant located in Calangute, A Reverie is perfect for a date night where you want to swoon your lover off of their feet. The restaurant serves molecular gastronomy based food, much of which is made from fresh seasonal produce — the food looks just as delicious as it tastes. The decor and ambience is also top notch, but remember the restaurant even during season is open only for dinner, so call ahead.

Waterfront Terrace And Bar

A beautiful spot in Panjim that comes with outdoor seating, poolside and a wide selection of food and drinks, the Waterfront Terrace & Bar at the Marriott is a no-brainer. Besides romantic views of the endless expanse of the Arabian Sea from the wooden deck, the Waterfront Terrace and Bar also offers a lavish buffet spread with a blend of Indian, Pan-Asian & Continental cuisines. Best part, they are open through the night, so your date really only ends when you both want it to. Also, their desserts are a must-try!

Tuscany Gardens

An authentic Italian fare, a lovely, beautifully lit ambience with fairy lights and some soul-stirring music... What’s not to love about Tuscany Gardens? The vibe here is a big win with both indoor and outdoor lawn seating. Packed with rich and delicious flavours typical of Italian food, the menu covers salads, pizzas, pastas, a couple of mains and dessert. In fact the pizza here is some of the best we’ve found in Goa, and together with its dreamy vibe, it’s high up on our list of recommended romantic restaurants.

Bay 15

Live music, great food, and a soothing view of the sea, Bay 15 will have your better half on cloud nine. Located right by the bay, this spot is the ultimate dinner date spot around Panjim.
