Red Ginger, known for its delectable and colourful Asian flavours, after running successfully in Colva has opened in North Goa, right on the way to the Dona Paul jetty. Sushi, while having gained popularity in Indian metros had not quite made its impact on Goan palates. Red ginger is here to change that offering a good variety of vegetarian and fish based sushi such as prawn tempura, salmon, avocado rolls etc. Thailand is not far behind with it's spicy red and yellow curries and sticky rice. There are a lot of Chinese dishes like Kum pao and honey chilli chicken being my favourite. Indonesian pad thai and wok tossed noodles are the go-to for your mains. There's a good collection of mocktails as well with the lemongrass and wildcat rosemary cooler being light and refreshing. The decor is red, spacious and transports you to the Southeast Asian corners. A must visit for Asian cuisine in Panaji.
