Lowdown On The Ambience
Bathed in yellow light, Sara World Cuisine is nestled away in Supermart – II, but it’s not hard to spot. It’s a small space that just about accommodates three tables, so this isn’t a café for long, leisurely lunches. Instead, we recommend dropping in for a quick bite or to satiate any late-night Eggs Benedict cravings {hey, we’ve all been there!}.
Pass The Pasta
If the words ‘al dente’ roll off your tongue easily and you’re impressed by all things Italian, Sara World Cuisine won’t disappoint. The chef brings his experience of working at a Michelin Star restaurant in Italy to the table, so expect a pasta-centric menu.
We tried three variants – the Beetroot & Ricotta Ravioli, the Chicken Lasagna and the Bacon Fettucine – and we’d definitely recommend the ravioli. It’s flavourful, well-seasoned and, honestly, was over before we’d have liked. The food is influenced by Ahooja’s world and driven by his passion – healthy, fresh food that is prepared well and won’t set you back by too much {ideal for an end-of-the-month meal!}.
The World On The Menu
If you’re not a pasta person, try the Fish & Chips instead. The crispy, golden-fried basa fish fillet, served with fresh-cut, chunky fries, was demolished quickly. The rest of the menu is peppered with influences from the rest of the world – there’s souvlaki, tacos and even the desi samosa.
They don’t have a dessert menu, but pancakes work just as well! With a generous smear of chocolate ganache and heaps of butter, the stack was the perfect end to our meal.
So We’re Thinking…
That Sara World Cuisine’s mission is novel, their food is yummy and a meal is well-worth the money you’d spend. The next time you’re around Supermart – II and struck by a sudden hunger pang, drop by!
