Himayathnagar is the home to some killer boutiques and here's a list of our favourites after a look-see session.

iFida

Head to iFida, located next to Subway to pick from a colourful array of clothes piled on the shelves as well as from the kurtas and long gowns on display. All in free sizes (which you can get altered), they have traditional as well as contemporary clothing in materials like cotton, organza, linen, satin, jute and crepes too. We found leggings in solid colours as well as in beautiful prints over Hazuri fabric. What we particularly liked here was their fancy crop top and dhoti sets (INR 500 upwards), pretty peplum tops (INR 500) and the casual kurtis (INR 1,050 upwards).

Neha Designer Boutique

This boutique has been around for about ten years now, and ladies, it has got kurtis, sarees, suits and dress material that you are going to love. They have bandhani dupattas that are really eye catching and bed sheets too. But, we're totally digging the sarees (INR 1,000 upwards) that come in basic colours, but oh so many patterns. Wd would certainly hit up the store again to gift mum one of their pieces. That said, you can also go here to get a custom piece stitched for yourself.

Manha

The stock at this boutique comes from all over India so they have embroidery, kundan, mirror and jari work too. The modern fabric and cotton kurtis here are elegant, and make a good college ensemble. This boutique also has a small collection of western wear, but we'd say pass that and browse the leggings, and fancy dupattas instead. It's a great stop if you're looking to mix and match your outfits, this is an ideal place with prices starting at INR 300.

Kaira

Looking for western casuals? Then, check out Kaira right next to Manha. If you are familiar with this brand, you would know that their style is easy going, trendy and exquisite. This two floor boutique has pastel coloured one pieces, long gowns and ethnic wear on one floor, while the other has leggings and denim jackets. The Indo-western wear has eccentric designs and make for a classy evening outfit.

Basil

Basil is Visali Kodali's studio in Hyderguda and it has a sophisticated aura. Sarees, lehengas, tunics adorn the space, and you can find blouses on one side too. Known for her custom designs of blouses, be it fancy wear or casuals, Basil excels at understanding your persona and giving you a unique piece of clothing.
