Dogs Park on Necklace Road started in 2013 with six dogs — Duke, Bond, Zorro, Sheero, Brut, and Rocky and their pet parents. Go here for a hectic weekend action with several furry friends.

What Makes It Awesome

Dog lovers and their furry best-friends have been spending a lot of time at this park along Necklace Road, exclusively meant for doggos. Started by the six doggos we mentioned and their owners — Sunny Das, Anand, Ritesh, and Pradeep who aimed to reduce aggression amongst these furry beauties by giving them a better social life, and a healthy lifestyle have inspired many more people, and created this fun space. The park (supposedly one of the first dog parks in the country) is situated at P V Narasimha Rao Gyaan Bhoomi ended up being a public space for doggies, spread across a couple of yards. Here, your pet can hop, roll, run, and bark with other pets, while you stroke their shiny furs or feed them treats.  You can find cheerful faces here from 5.30 am to 7 am, every day; but so many more of them turn up on Sundays when these cuties officially gather for a meet-up. Look out for some very lucky puppies who throw a birthday party here, {thanks to their owners}. Yes, you can come along to this park to celebrate your favourite canine’s birthday. These parties have been a total blast, with dog cakes and cookies, and puppies in hats. Isn’t this the perfect place to let the dogs out?

With over 400 doggies who gather regularly and 1000s of visitors, this is one of the happiest spaces in the city according to us. This place is totally worth waking up early for. So, head there this weekend and enjoy the best time ever in a fine company.

Pro-Tip

If you think you might be a potential dog owner, visiting this Dogs Park is highly recommended as there is so much you can learn, just by observing the rare breeds that are not otherwise seen in the city, and by interacting with pet owners who are super cheerful and always ready to help. With their experience and guidance, you can never go wrong. Most people also get their dogs here for training. And some come here to cuddle these furry babies, which assuredly makes them forget all their problems. Look out for regular adoption drives that happen here as well by following them on Facebook.
