Are You Even A Hipster If You Haven't Visited Masaba Gupta's Cafe In Jubilee Hills Yet?

After launching her store — House Of Masaba — at the beginning of the year, designer Masaba Gupta followed it with a cafe in the same space as the store. Called the Good Cow Cafe, the cafe located in Jubilee Hills, is perfect for conversations, coffee, and couture.

What Makes It Awesome

The cafe has been designed by architects – Soumya Jagarlapudi and Apoorva Balakrishna, and is stamped with Masaba’s aesthetic. Enter art deco style diamond patterned flooring, graffiti, custom made cushions in Masaba prints and her signature cow print on a wall. The vibe of the cafe is contemporary and the colour scheme is monochrome. Plus, we are digging the round tables, high stool seating, community tables, cozy lighting and a beautiful outdoor space. Plants placed thoughtfully throughout the space lend it a sense of coziness and splashes of green. Other funky decor elements include a stately clock hanging against a white brick wall, bookshelves with classics, kiddie books, biographies, and an antique operational telephone adds a vintage touch.

The menu here comes with all sorts of cafe bites, except there is a range of luxurious teas to pick from with lush names such as Jasmine Rings and Dragon Pearls. With everything from milkshakes to falafel and pizzas, burgers, and pasta — the menu has something for foodies as well as those looking to make healthier choices (the Wholesome Salad and Roasted Chicken Salad are good examples). The staff recommended the sandwiches, but we loved the Veg Lasagna with bell pepper, zucchini, broccoli, and a rich pink sauce.

What Could Be Better

The prices are a bit steep but on par with any other uptown cafe.
