What Makes It Awesome

I was invited to Tim Tai to taste their food at the time of the Songkran festival. The festival was celebrated on the occasion of Thai new year. They served some authentic dishes from Thai cuisine.

The ambience of the place is quite cool. It is decorated well with flowers and a big tree in the middle of the restaurant which gave the place a good vibe but I preferred to sit in the cabin where I could have the view of the city.

We started off with tom yum soup which is their signature and a must have soup from the Thai cuisine. It was served hot and tasted really good. We were also served Som Tam Salad which was presented really well. It was made with shredded papaya and tasted sour.

We continued with appetisers. We tasted Gyoza {pan fried dim sums} which had an extremely sumptuous and appropriately spiced filling. Next up, we tried the grilled cottage cheese which was a bit overcooked but it tasted fine. Their Nyonya Fried Chicken was super crispy and tasted really well with the tomato sauce. Another appetiser, Spicy Lambs, was average since some of the lamb dices were not fried properly.

Moving onto the main course, we tasted four dishes. The Green Thai Curry was good but the best thing I had there was the Khao Pad Veg {fried rice} & Pineapple Fried Rice Chicken.

And since no meal is complete without desserts, we tried the Motlen Chocolate Cake. It was a molten cake topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Their coconut jelly with mango cream sauce was also really nice and soft. It was a good and rare experience for me as I got to taste the best Thai cuisine served in the city.
