In The Mood For A Thrilling Movie Night? This Tri-Film Festival Will Make It Possible

What Is It?

Hear, hear! Cinephiles FILM CLUB is paying a tribute to the legendary Alfred Hitchcock. Now, if you have watched any of Hitchcock’s films, you would know what a master of suspense he was. If not, no better time to get familiar with some of his best work than at this tri-film festival. Be warned though, these films are not for the faint hearted as they are known to create fear and anxiety in the viewers, but that is also the best part about the film-maker’s style.

Who Is It For?

Calling all the film aficionados and movie lovers who want to enjoy a quiet night of intense but incredible cinema. This film festival will screen four films on multiple dates until July 20. Two of Alfred’s films — Shadow Of A Doubt and Vertigo, along with Claude Chabrol’s Le Boucher (a film he had no part in, but apparently wished he had made) and Christian Petzold's Phoenix (that has hints of Hitchcock). Be prepared for an air of mystery, nail-biting, and uneasiness that is ironically exciting. Take bae or bff here and truly experience the beauty of cinema.

Why Should I Go For It?

We don’t think good cinema deserves to be skipped. The films, although small in number are from a period between 1943 to 1970 and are regarded as some of the best works of film history. It’s not for nothing that Alfred Hitchcock is considered one of the greatest directors of all time, and being at this event will show you why. Watch them in one of the two dedicated community spaces and indulge in discussions with other movie goers after the screening. The best part? The screening is free and you might end up being a part of one of the best clubs and communities too.
