What's Happening

White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is the brainchild of Nassim Soleimanpour, an Iranian playwright and this globally recognised play has been performed by over a 1,000 different actors in over 25 languages. Hyderabad, behold, for Break A Leg, a non-profit theatre initiative is bringing this play to a stage near you. This is a unique theatre experience that demonstrates the power of storytelling. An absurdist adventure, as it has been described, the play has no director and no rehearsals. In fact, the script is handed to the actor when he enters the stage. Besides, it is brought to life by a new actor every single time. Eminent actors like James Roday and Nancy Travis have performed this show and it has gathered audiences in New York City, London, and closer home in Mumbai and Bengaluru too but no one is allowed to talk about it. It starts off on a silly and comical note, and an enticing story builds up over the course of this one-hour play. If you are a theatre lover, someone who is thrilled about new experiences or simply to be a part of a well-kept secret — this one-of-a-kind show is a must watch for you.

How's The Venue

Lamakaan is a cultural space in Banjara Hills where culture vultures flock. There is something always happening at Lamakaan — whether it's a play, a workshop or an open mic. We love the iconic samosa and nimbu paani here.
