Yes! You heard that right. Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band are performing in the city for the first time at Momo I Am - Cafe I Am in Sector 5, Salt Lake on Saturday, February 8 and we're booking our tickets already.
Bipul's debut 'Sketches of Darjeeling' was a huge success among listeners and critics alike. His album 'Maya' and three singles - ‘Aashish’, ‘Teesta’ and 'Mughlan' - catapulted him to the top of music charts and also made him one of the leading musicians in the country's independent music circuit across all languages.
Don't even get us started on how elated we are that Bipul and his band (Pranai Gurung, Aman Singh Rathore, Kiran Nepali, Prince Nepali, Rahul Rai, Achint Shivam Khare and Binaya Man Amatya) are finally performing in Kolkata. Remember ex Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Apurva Tamang? Well, he's going to perform too while the closing set will be played by DJ U-Gain.
