Being perfect is never the ideal, but striving towards perfection must be the motivation. Your bubs may be introverted, shy or suffer from stuttering, but it doesn't mean they have to bear this burden throughout their childhood. Culture Monks has a theatre programme for kids that will help in their all-round development.

What Makes It Awesome

Break the box and come out of it. Remember to bring your bubs out too because constricted bookish knowledge can only take them so far. In the same tone, this theatre programme is also not just about learning how to act or taking part in a production. Culture Monks's theatre programme aims to help the kids understand their body and space, train their voice, question paradigms and appreciate music and visual arts.

A year-long programme with one class every week, there are renowned theatre practitioners, music artists, dancers and physical movement trainers who'll help your kids come out of their shells and spread their wings to fly. From acclaimed dramateurgist Parnab Mukherjee to dance therapist Deboshree Mukherjee, musician Pradeep Chattopadhyay, theatrician and chief trainer Debeleena Tripathi listed as faculty members, the programme intends to help the little ones become aware of socio-political concerns and issues, and also train them to express their thoughts on such topics. It also incorporates methods and thoughts of contemporary pedagogy to make the learning interesting and fruitful

Best of all, at the end of the year, the learning comes to a culmination as children produce a play. Culture Monks has three centres (Lake Town, Loudon Street and Lake Gradens) in the city and every centre runs two classes on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Classes are divided into two age groups - 6 to 10 years and 11 to 16 years. Monthly fess start at INR 1,200 per person.
