The holy month of Ramazan is on and we can’t seem to stop stuffing our face with iftar special delicacies. For something different, you’ve got to try the Bohri special iftar at Salt.

Bohri Haleem

Bohri haleem (aka Bohri khichda) is strikingly different from the usual haleem. It has less lentils (dal) and more wheat, for one thing. It’s spicy and and it doesn’t have that oily richness. The haleem is best complimented by a tandoori roti or naan. A bowl will have two pieces of mutton and is priced at INR 200 only.

On The Gosht Trail

Dabba Gosht is a rather unique baked dish that looks sort of similar to our old Continental fave – Au Gratin, but is strikingly different in taste. This one is available both in chicken and mutton. The meat is baked in a white sauce with eggs and tomatoes in a dabba. You can give Salt’s Kabuli naan, masala kulcha or cheesy cheese parathas a try with this.

Ramazan Specials

Besides, these there are of course the Ramazan special nibblers that we can’t seem to get enough of. We wondered how the plate of malai salli kebab (made of chicken) melted so quickly in your mouths, but then there were the mutton shami kebabs to try. But best of all we loved the bite-sized dal and mutton samosas that were tasty as hell.

Anything Else?

The iftar special menu will be available both for lunch and dinner at Salt all throughout the month of Ramazan (some of them might even become a part of their regular menu).
