The drop in the temperature and the slight bite in the air has already got us putting on the light shrug and shawls. All we need more is a nice cosy nook and a hearty meal of delicious soup or a crackling plate of sizzler. Jalapenos is hosting a winter soup and sizzler festival, and their quaint eatery could be just the place to be to kick off the winter season.
Russian borscht to the all-American pumpkin soup or the simple Thai soup, go all out to have your heart's content here. We relished on the gorgeously red beetroot and tomato loaded borscht. Top the pumpkin soup with some oregano and you'll have some soul-satisfying snack for a light meal.
For your post-work hunger pangs, we suggest you kill it here with their wholesome sizzlers. Lebanese, Chines, Thai, Italian and even Greek, there's a nice curated menu of different cuisines to bite in. The portions are really wholesome (good for two small eaters) with a main carb, salad and a side to make it into a well-balanced meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the Lebanese Aubergine sizzler which came with two delicious dips and couldn't get enough of the potato chimichangas that came in the Spanish sizzler.
