The Robin Hood Army is aiming to feed 25,000 underprivileged people in the city, and one million in India and Pakistan on August 14 and 15. Here’s how you can help #Mission1Million.

What Is it?

The Robin Hood Army is a group that takes surplus food from restaurants and distributes it among those who don’t get even two square meals a day. This Independence Day, they are undertaking a mammoth mission to feed over a million people in India and Pakistan including 25,000 people right here in Kolkata.

How Can You Help?

The simplest thing you can do is spread the awareness about #Mission1Million. They have a Facebook page you can share, use the hashtag and encourage people to participate.

You can also donate food or sign up to be a volunteer by contacting them here {they don’t accept monetary donations – just time and food!}. All you have to do is message your name, number and city and they will guide you to your local Facebook group.

Anything Else?

There are over 230 million hungry people in India and Pakistan. This year, give them a day of independence from hunger as well.
